Easter Front Porch Sessions 2020

This began as a simple idea of wanting to do something that would help make people happy during this time of quarantine. Not to mention, how fun is it to take photos at your home? You never hear anyone say, oh yeah we did them on our front porch!

I had no idea God would bless me so tremendously throughout these sessions, After my first family I knew I needed to document some of my feelings so I could look back and truly reflect on the experience. I don’t know about you but I am a faithful “notes” app user and here were a few of my musings along the way:

love

Every single session I left with tears in my eyes. No joke. Now if you don’t know me very well I have to admit I can be a bit of a sap. However, it was beautiful to see all the love each of these families shared.

diversity

When the only people you’ve seen for 6 weeks straight are your people it’s easy to forget all the diversity that’s right here in little ol’ Lubbock.

character

I am ALL about the character of people, places and things! Even though we have neighborhoods that were designed by specific builders all with different styles it’s how the homeowner adds their own personal flair that truly establishes the character.

kindness

All of y’all were so kind with your words and appreciation. It was just nice to see new smiling faces.

smiles

There were only a few who didn’t want to smile for the camera. Eventually everyone smiled in their own way and it was marvelous.

dogs

Animal lover in the HOUSE! I am your girl for petting all the furry creatures. Thank goodness no one asked if a snake could be in their photos. I wouldn’t have said no, but I would have made sure to keep an extra 3 feet in there, just for good measure. ;)

happiness

This time certainly isn’t ideal but the happiness level of everyone was so refreshing. If y’all weren’t happy you did a great job of hiding it!
